She has a Master's Degree in Business Law (1984) and a Post-Graduate Professional Degree (DESS) in Contracts and Industrial Property Law from the University of Strasbourg (1985) – Formerly Trademark and Patent Attorney (Conseil en Propriété Industrielle)

Claire ARDANOUY has worked in the field of Intellectual Property since 1985. She began her career as a lawyer working as in house counsel for two French corporations in the energy and IT business. In 1990, she joined an Intellectual Property Law Firm. In 1999, she became the Head of the Trademarks and Designs Department of a Patent and Trademark Attorney in Paris until 2004.
